The market has surged into 2026 at a rapid pace. What is driving this strong start? And how sustainable is it? The key forces shaping the year ahead.
Sisters Snare Office Building
Global non-profit community organisation the Sisters of Mercy has snared a freestanding office building at Caboolture, north of Brisbane, for its latest Queensland service centre.
The Sisters of Mercy has purchased the property on a 798 sqm site at 19 Hayes Street, Caboolture, for $450,000 through Ray White Commercial Noosa & Sunshine Coast North’s Christine Freney on behalf of Suncare Community Services.
Christine Freney said the property had originally been passed in at auction and was then leased out before Sisters of Mercy approached seeking to purchase the building.
“The tenant graciously agreed to relocate in order for the organisation to purchase as their work is vital to the local community,” she said.
“The tenant had spent considerable time and finances to advertise his business, so we are fully appreciative to him for his inconvenience.”
Christine Freney said the 600 sqm building comes with plenty of undercover parking and excellent signage and exposure as well as being close to transport, schools and the Caboolture CBD.
“The premises are divided into eight offices and includes a large meeting room, kitchen and reception while there is also disability access,” she said.
Founded by Catherine McAuley in Dublin, Ireland, in 1831, the Sisters of Mercy share the passion of their foundress to bring mercy to people who are poor, sick and uneducated.
